The Parks are Calling

Join Rainy and Mark as they capture the beauty of our planet one adventure at a time.

Well, we did it!  In September of last year (2024), we traveled to the National Park of American Samoa and completed our quest to vist all 63 US National Parks.  There are rumors that we may be getting a new NP, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.  In the meantime, we will continue trekking around the continent in our RV, but we will also work to document all of our past NP travels.  We hope these photos and stories light a spark to pursue your own adventures.  Sign up for notifications below and we’ll keep you informed when we add new content.  Reach out to us with any comments or suggestions, the travel blog community is a great resource and we aim to share and inspire.  Hoping that our paths will cross someday.

Safe travels!

Our Favorites … so far

Periodically, we’ll highlight one of Rainy’s best photos along with the story involved in its capture.

Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park is a magical place.  It combines two of our favorite photo subjects – bears and waterfalls.  In order to get the silky flowing water, you need to keep your shutter open longer than usual.  But the risk is you’ll shake or your subject will move and become blurry.  Rainy hand held her camera and the bear cooperated nicely for this shot.  What a beauty!
