Recommendations
Don’t miss: If you’re game for a strenuous hike, you can climb Guadalupe Peak. There are several other tough hikes, but we opted for easy/moderate McKittrick Canyon.
When to visit: Avoid the summer as it can get super hot. Late fall is best as McKittrick Canyon will have its foliage on display.
How long to stay: A day or two is all you need here.
