Recommendations
Don’t miss: Get reservations on one of the park buses (note the park road is partially closed for repairs) to venture out into the park as far as you can. If you spend multiple days there, try to get on a ranger led walk. And if you can manage it, splurge for an aerial tour out of Talkeetna to see Denali up close. It’ll be a memory of a lifetime.
When to visit: Summer is the best time to visit for outdoor activities, though a winter Aurora trip would be epic.
How long to stay: Given the chance of a “no-show,” we recommend 2-3 days in the area. Then, depending on bus/tour availability, you should base your plans around what reservations you can land.
