Recommendations
Don’t miss: Assuming you stay at Rock Harbor, hike along the Stoll Trail to Scoville Point. And take one of the MV Sandy boat tours to the Rock Harbor Lighthouse and to see the moose and wolf study facility.
When to visit: When Lake Superior will let you. The park is only open April 16 – October 31, so summer gives you the best odds. Reserve the ferry and lodging early as space is limited.
How long to stay: Make the effort of the long ferry trip worthwhile and spend 3 nights here.
