Where is Kenai Fjords: Near Seward, AK, about 130 miles south of Anchorage.
Recommendations
Don’t miss: See the accelerating retreat of Exit Glacier to observe firsthand how our climate is changing. Take a boat tour out of Seward and you’ll get to see all kinds of wildlife and tidewater glaciers. And if you’re an experienced hiker, you can trek up to the Harding Ice Field.
When to visit: Summer is really the only accessible time and you’ll get long days to pack full of adventure.
How long to stay: One day to hike and one day for a boat tour at a minimum.
