The Story Behind our Namesake

A few months after visiting Yellowstone in 2016, Rainy declared that we needed to visit and document all 59 National Parks by my 59th birthday which at that time was just over 4 years away.  “59 by 59” was born which eventually led to “The Parks Are Calling” (see full story).  We hope you enjoy these pages and develop a similar itch to get out and explore America’s National Parks.

Since starting our quest in 2017, we’ve visited 40+ parks and are still in process to get our pictures and stories online for those we visited in 2017-2019.  Now that we’ve returned from the road in a bizarre 2020 (there aren’t many activities more socially distanced than camping in an RV), we’ll document the parks as quickly as we can. Note – we’re finding this much harder to do than we anticipated.
